Inspired by the traditional Ayurvedic recipe, the delicious and nourishing Good as Gold Spice Blend includes turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. These comforting flavors added to a chia base make a sweetly tropical, filling Coconut Turmeric Chia Parfait with all the wellness potential. Start your morning off right!
Coconut Chia:
1/3 cup chia seeds
3 cups coconut milk
1 tsp Pure Madagascar Vanilla Extract
Turmeric Chia:
2 Tbsp chia seeds
1 Tbsp agave or honey
2/3 cup pineapple juice
1 tsp Good As Gold Spice Blend
To Assemble:
1 each small banana and/or mango, finely chopped
garnish fresh mint, coconut chips and/or fruit, optional
Combine coconut chia ingredients in a 16-ounce jar; seal and shake vigorously to combine. Refrigerate 4 hours to overnight to bloom; shake periodically to ensure chia seeds do not clump.
Combine turmeric chia ingredients in a 12-ounce jar; seal and shake vigorously to combine. Refrigerate 4 hours to overnight to bloom; shake periodically to ensure chia seeds do not clump.
Remove chia mixtures from refrigerator; shake before opening. Add 4 to 5 tablespoons of chopped fruit to the turmeric chia mixture; stir to combine.
To assemble: spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of coconut chia in a small serving glass (approximately 6-ounce capacity). Layer 2 to 3 tablespoons of turmeric chia-fruit mixture, followed by 2 to 3 tablespoons of coconut chia. Top with choice of garnishes.
